alright Google, so why are your search results suddenly not drag-able?

some improvement to use-ability!

poo-poo.

That sounds like a feature of your browser, not any specific website.

but this is a sudden change, and i haven't changed my browser (Safari) at all.
all other links are still drag-able, just like always, but now i have to command-click links on their search page in order to open it in a new tab.

i guess this is a pretty petty thing to complain about.

Looking around, it seems that this is why:

<a href="http://www.asdi.com/" onmousedown="return asq(event,this,'res','4','')"

What that's actually supposed to I couldn't tell you, but it's got to be the reason.

that's way over my html-able head.

i hadn't even looked at the source code, to be honest.

That's cause it's JavaScript, not HTML.

(That's a random search result from a search for a random string of characters, namely "asd".)

does that mean you have the same non-drag-ability with your copy of Safari?

Yup. It looks like they're trying to make something cool happen when you click a link, but it's accidentally got a side effect of undragability.
