hi all.
i'm sure you missed me.
i had a massive directory meltdown / crash that left us without a computer for a while.
needless to say, i took that effing new CPU out of there, and i'm running on the old reliable, slow CPU now. i had to make a trip out to Boulder to get a copy of DiskWarrior to repair the directory... or something. i really don't understand how it works. i just hit the "fix it" button, and now it works again. yay!
seems to be no data loss which is good... but it remains to be seen if the fix is permanent.
things seemed normal for quite a long while after i put that new CPU in. i'm still shaking my head over that one.
supposedly PowerLogix is going to replace that unit,
as well they should.
meh though. meh meh meh.
oh,
neato. the computer just now learned that it's not 1976 anymore.
welcome to the future!
edit.
ah, fuck, there's still weird shit going on.
the time won't set properly and the mail program is really being dinky.
arse.
edit 2:
got to hand it to OS X, in a way. although it appears that my systems is so corrupted that i'm going to have to re-install system software, for now i'm able to use the computer as though nothing was wrong. weird.
