i done a bit o' work on the new track, "el Piso", the little brother to "la Flor" that i finished earlier last month.
the deal with the titles is that "la Flor" is a remix of a track by Florian Filsinger, and it was just shortened to "flor" which is Spanish for "flower", so i thought 'why not?'
since "flor" sounds like "floor", then the new track is Spanish for "floor": "el Piso"
yeah, i know... stupid joke.
don't go giving me evils.
the track's got the same kick drum, with a new hihat, and the same ping noise, but heavily effected and in stereo... it's also got a guitar part that was originally recorded for the original and rejected at some point.
today i laid down a minimal chord stab with the new keyboard, the Yamaha PSS-460, and later a little bit of moog spoog.
the track could have gone any direction in the world earlier today, but it became what it is now... i'm not certain i like the track the way it is, but i don't dislike it. perhaps it'll stay this way.
at several points i question the direction i was pushing the track, but for lack of better ideas, i kept pushing. i wouldn't say it's wide open for tweaking right now, with all tracks full, but many things could happen.
otherwise, i didn't do much but play Doom 64 this weekend. we're not even going to see fireworks. maybe i'll smoke a cigar, although it's late. beh.
