Jun. 23rd, 2001 09:45 ami dreamed that i was an extra in a movie, or i had a bit part. the main character was abraham lincoln. there was also martial arts, and airborne cars a la Dukes of Hazzard. i was playing a bum, and of course i was wearing my own clothes, 'cause they were bummier than anything the costume crew could come up with.
(not dream):
saw the movie 'Panic' last night, pretty decent, but flawed movie. they got really heavy handed with leaden, doom-ridden music, but the movie was acted with a far lighter touch, so it was distractingly incongruous.
there were a couple of little things that bothered me as well, but the music and the ending were pretty disappointing.
otherwise it was a joy. william h. macy as a lead actor always rules, neve campbell was frantic and alluring (i decided that i give-up resisting it; she's a babe), tracey ullman was good as a faded wife, (though she should be given weightier parts, i think), even donald sutherland was ok.
the show stealer was the little kid.
i HATE little kid actors. but this kid made the whole movie worth it. he had ALL the funny lines.
oh, john ritter was in it too.
did i ever tell you i once sat at a coffee shop next to john ritter and his family?
brushes with minor celebrities!
i was in line at the grocery store right behind the guy who was radar on MASH.
