Colorado Springs, a tourist town which may be described as the central shining city on the hill for the American Conservative movement is beginning to get a taste of what small government is like, after years of tax cutting conservative city governments.

• Police helicopters for sale
  
• Beat cops, police investigators & firefighters out of work
  
• No trash cans in parks
  
• No mowing in green spaces
  
• No watering in green spaces
  
• Rec centers, pools & museums will close for good March 31
  
• Street paving cut by 90%
  
• No busses on evenings and weekends
  

I'm sure the invisible hand of the free market will solve those problems though, if they pray hard enough.

I hope that Douglas Bruce drives his car into a huge pothole (since he won't be able to take a bus), wrecks his suspension, hits a (not operating) street light, and gets mugged.
