bugs, bugs
May. 28th, 2006 07:25 pmSo, today was all about walking around and seeing ladybugs getting their sex on. Heck yeah! Apparently they found the aphids, cause they didn't all fly away, our entire lawn is crawling with the little fellers. Hopefully in a while we'll start to see a bunch of "little black alligators" - baby ladybugs.
As of yesterday, I'd never heard of the Elm Leafminer, but we have billions of them. Several for every leaf on every elm in our yard. Billions. This is not a good thing. They're in larvae stage, little worms eating up all the leaves on our elms. Haven't figure out what to do about that. We strive to be chemical free in our lawn maintenance.
