vuzh: seven (emptiness)
I awoke from a dream with an epiphany: I think I only dream of getting ready to do things, I don't actually dream of accomplishing anything.

Examples from last night:

I dream of setting up musical equipment to play some music with a group of friends... technical issues hamper me getting a good sounds, and I spend the entire dream trying to set up the amp & guitar & effects, and we never play any music.

I dream of being a team member on a baseball team (?) and there's a large brick wall on the field running along the inside of the diamond between 2nd and 3rd base, and everyone is trying to figure out how to reconfigure the rules to accomodate the blockade, but no game-playing ever actually occurs.

Other examples I can think of:

I dream of meeting some mysterious & sexy girl, and we decide to look for someplace to be private, so we go looking and never find any suitable place. (Or I fumble around looking for a condom or something, never can find one.)

I dream of travelling in a car or plane, but never actually arrive anywhere.

At the behest of many good LJ friends list reviews, we saw "V for Vendetta".
We both thought it was a bunch of pretentious twaddle,
which only helped to further cheapen the idea of revolution.
Revolution is just a commodity, it's just a concept for marketers to play with. Drink a coke, drive a BMW, you're part of a revolution. Watch the right movie, you're part of something. Who doesn't want to be part of something?
