Dec. 24th, 2005 10:50 pmfirst off i want to thank all the spambots for all the Christmas wishes. thanks spambots!
went over to caerie's grandfather's house for dinner tonight, and stared at my feet and tried to stay out of the way. i'm such a damned lump on a log sometimes.
caerie's aunt Linda gave me a little computerized 20 questions game, which was a big hit with everyone. i resisted the temptation to bury myself in 20 questions...
i like all of caerie's family, well, with a few exceptions, but i just feel like i toad when i'm around that many people.
tomorrow, i will put caerie in the same situation with my family.
actually, i'm being dramatic, i had a fine time...
i am, however, a lot self-conscious about what all those people think about me.
when i get into lump on a log mode, i remind myself of my Papa, who always did the same thing... he'd find a comfy spot somewhere, and grab his knees and suck his cheeks, while the activity swirled around him.
bleh.

not very Christmasy. not even very Hanukah-y.
tomorrow, i have to finish making my black bean and yam tamales, and then make a donation to Doctors Without Borders, so that when i tell everyone that i'm "giving" them a donation to that fine organization, i won't be a liar!
