week from hell + other miscellaneous thoughts

tomorrow commences the week from hell

the last week that we can do shipments at work UPS Ground / USPS Parcel Post and still expect to get our tacky pewter shit to people for xmas. starting the week of the 19th, it'll be all 3rd day, 2nd day & Next day air, and we don't particularly want to spend tons of money we don't have on all those special shipments.
so it's going to be pretty hectic this week.

also, R*****, (a.k.a. Mr. Lastminute) has threatened that he has more new pieces that i have to rush into production. this man is a complete bastard. i hate him with a greater passion at xmas time than any other time of the year.

i've just notified a few key folks that before they go out and indulge in consumerism on my behalf, why don't they instead make a small donation to Doctors Without Borders?

all the churchbells in town rang when the stupid Broncos won their stupid athletic contest. i would have liked a spontaneous bell ringing for no reason at all, but my experience of the sound was a little soured by the whole God + football aspect of it.

on the other hand, all the competing church bells is the only good thing about the ridiculous number of churches in this little town.

there was recently a discussion amongst a few of my LJ friends and myself about highly prolific artists, and i read something that has a different angle:

"Quantity, it's a good thing. Quality is relative, but quantity... it's solid. If you do one record that might be good, people can argue about it, but if you do a lot of records, there's no argument."
