i missed my calling, i was too interested in sex and music when i was young.

did some work in studio today, including a new mix of "tokyo spin queen" adjusting levels and adding some samples i found of speech synthesis, in this case a couple of samples of short phrases in Japanese, supposedly meant to showcase the emotion of 'sadness'. i have no idea what the samples say, but sad robots are ok. played around a bit more with the flash sequencer bpoem. nice toy.

also worked a good amount on "el piso", anxious to move on to the next track. today's work was all synth, adding some MiniMoog and some of the new Yamaha PSS-460 (i like the stabbing little sounds it can make when you lower decay and push the attack all the way up) it's not really at all like the minimal techno i had in mind originally, but nothing ever turns out according to plan. the track is actually pretty awkward, but i like it more and more with each listen. sounds like something from the Artificial Intelligence series from way back whenever. seems like ages ago.
