rain!

the rain promises fungi! wooo!

i've already seen decent clumps of the alcohol inky cap up and already deliquescing in the last week...
i saw some sizable mushroom on or near a stump near the highway (probably just a boring Agaricus, but i ought to stop to make sure it's not a Pleurotus growing out of that stump)

and morel season is nigh upon us, merely weeks away.

time to shake off the hibernation of Winter,
hurrah!
