moog in a box
Jan. 31st, 2005 05:20 pmgot the UPS box with the virtual moog in it today,
pulled it out, and hoo boy is it ever sexy!
when i finally stopped licking the plastic shrinkwrap,
i read the minimum requirements and found something i hadn't seen
(or maybe hadn't paid enough attention to)
on any other spec page before ordering it... requires 500 MHz CPU speed...
my machine is 400 MHz.
sigh.
since i'm certainly not up to buying a whole new computer just to run this software,
i guess i'll have to return it.
maybe i'll set it up on display on the computer desk, just to make my computer feel "not up to the task".
i'm vengeful like that.
hmph.
back to square one.
PS: there it is, right on the tech requirements page on Arturia's website, but i can see why i thought i was still cool, it says "G3 500 MHz"
i guess i figured that meant that any G4 would be up to the task. meh. i feel pretty stupid now.
i wonder what a CPU upgrade would cost?
