stupid mistakes
Nov. 3rd, 2002 12:33 pmi had iTunes set to convert aiffs to mono files for a specific task, and forgot to set it back to stereo, so everything i've converted since then has been in mono.
d'oh !
i had thrown away a lot of files that i had converted badly,
i was able to recover all but one of those files with Norton Utilities, so i have a mono only version of one of the source tracks for the collaboration with PBK. not a huge loss.
i also made a copy of one of my CDs for
electricwalrus, and i'll have to re-send it in stereo.
i have my hands in too many tasks all at once, and it sometimes leads to some really stupid mistakes like this one.
one day i'll probably have one of my stupid mistakes happen and it'll be unfixable. but i may as well not worry about that until the time comes.
