i read a newspaper article today
Apr. 8th, 2002 06:46 pmwhich stated that Iran has publicly called for cessation of oil shipments to any country that supports Israel. i believe this plea for action was roundly denied by Saudi Arabia, who are the largest oil-producing country.
largely, i think this is, in theory, a good idea on Iran's part.
it makes me doubt the whole Iran-as-nutcake-nation propaganda. they want to effect something they see as a wrong in the world, and they've come up with a non-violent way of getting the world's attention. the Ayatollah Khamenei even rightly pointed out that when the USA wants something, it has no problems keeping food and other goods from entering a country.
i'll wager that anti-Iran propaganda is going to make a large leap in the coming weeks, especially from the mouth of the Pretender-in-Chief.
