ugh

i am a sick shroom.
i think i gots some food poisoning.
i dreamed about throwing up last night,
but i didn't actually do it.

compuser is sick too.
i've been backing up all morning long, working up to the point where i can safely erase the disk.
this has me very anxious.

i wonder how long it'll take to actually erase and reformat and reinstall system software.
i'm thinking quite a few hours. has anyone ever done this before?
*shrug*
anyhow, i'm sure i'll be a wreck by the time i finish reinstalling everything. bleargh.

right now i'm downloading mac OS 9.1, because i figured this would be a good time to upgrade my operating software.
i'm not really ready for OS X yet, so i'm not even thinking about that. i think i'll wait till X has its knots worked out. it looks like it'll be a great OS once it does though.

i have a new bug-free compuser now.

whadda pain in the ass.

the main big thing that i did wrong,
was when i was backing up,
i grabbed the wrong folder for mail identities, so all the mail files i had are gone (everything i received since may 2001 anyhow -- i found a database from back then.)
