new mix CD !!

my Fall 2001 mix CD is finally ready, y'all.
so who wants one?
it gots good shiite by 8-bit construction set, ohGr, Goldfrapp, Tortoise, Bjork, trembling blue stars, Autechre/AFX, Squarepusher, Clinch Mtn. Boys, BPM&M, Sigur Ros, aix em klemm, cevin key/ogre & russell mills/david sylvian.

disclaimer 1:
the last mix CD i made was one of the best i could hope to make, and, although this one rocks yo ass, it ain't as good as the last one, so if you have a copy of the last one, don't have yr expectations for a sequel.
disclaimer 2:
mix CD is personalizable, so if you already gots every recording known to man by the artist Dogbutt, then there ain't no use in me putting a song on there by Dogbutt. i'll happily substitute something by Catpuss instead.

al Queda's M.O.

a couple of entries back i was wondering why bin Laden hadn't taken responsibility for the attack,
and my homey Little Fyodor wrote pointing out that the strike at the USS Cole, and the original truck-bomb attack on the WTC were also, according to the USA, bin Laden's handiwork, and no one ever took responsibility for those attacks.
so perhaps it actually is al Queda's M.O. to not claim culpability?

sugarcubes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my main homey Ian sent me a concert video of the sugarcubes i'd never seen before. the sugarcubes goddamned rocked.
aside from the nostalgia, the following thoughts raced through my mind:
a.) Bjork is probably the most desirable female on the entire planet. if i met her in person there would quickly be police involvement, (hauling me away...)
how can someone be THAT attractive? seriously.
damn.
b.) Einar Orn was so fucking irritating, he often ruined the whole experience. what the fuck?
c.) Siggi is the fucking bomb. he is possibly my second favorite drummer ever. why is he not ruling the entire world in some amazing new band right now? his segment on the video describing why Alabama and the bible belt is so loved by the Lord on high was priceless.
when i become famous, i'm hiring Siggi as my drummer, and i'm paying him well dammit.

we thought Bjork might've worn the same outfit on one part of the video as when we saw the Sugarcubes at Red Rocks ages ago, but caerie maintained that her coat had a hood.
