(no subject)

heart palpitations all night long. kept me awake.
no amount of aspirin could calm them for more than an hour or so.
what causes this?
(allergies???)

two ideas

a buddhist idea that i have trouble with is discarding "egocentricity", which is more or less defined as seeing yourself as 'apart' and 'different' from everyone / everything else.

i read an article in the latest Wire magazine interviewing Laurie Anderson where she said she keeps warning herself that "expectation is experience."

boletes !!!!

in the allenspark area.
a big 7 pound basketful of ceps / penny buns / king boletes !
and a few really nice looking white kings (boletus barrowsii)
and one or two orange cap boletes too.

in one spot we found a bunch of fly amanitas, but NO boletes. we concluded that the squirrels had got them all.
i'm surprised to never find the fly amanitas with teeth marks (i had read that squirrels like to get high off of them.)
