a memory

for a school project i did in elementary school, i filled a canning jar with "pills"... which i made by cutting up green construction paper into tiny squares. i spent a week cutting up these small squares, until the teacher finally said that i was using up all of her construction paper. the week worth of cutting "pills" had filled approximately 1/4 of the now enormous-seeming jar.
persistent, i got some blank white paper and methodically colored its every inch with a green marker, and cut THAT up into tiny squares.

i was going through my old cassettes just now thinking it'd be nice to transfer some of them to CD, so i'd listen to them more often...
and much to my alarm, after i'd made a pile of tapes i'd want on CD, even after i weeded out the ones that weren't absolutely necessary, i still had around 50 tapes to transfer !!!
and those are only the super-underground hometaper ones !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! auuuauaaugh!!!
cleaning those up and transferring them would take me all summer !
