ISP nightmare, continued
May. 16th, 2002 09:27 ami'm still offline at home.
turns out i was suddenly cancelled because i "used too many hours" on my "unlimited" service.
one of the low-level sales people (the managers would not speak to me at all) told me i was a certain amount over the limit of use for my account for three months straight...
when i asked what that limit was, they wouldn't tell me.
i got a letter saying my use was over the limit of what was consistent for my account, again, no mention of what that limit was.
the website and users agreement has no mention of what the limit of use is.
i signed up for what i was told was an "unlimited" account, so i was using it in a manner i thought appropriate, and suddenly i call up and everyone at the stinking place acts as though i've been trying to rip off their shitty little company.
absolutely no communication before cancelling my service, and afterwards, when i'm trying to find out what's going on, no authority figure will speak to me, and the low-level guys have no clue what's going on.
when i finally got in contact with a manager, as soon as he found out who i was, he said the line was breaking up and asked if he could call back, and never did.
bad customer service, ladies and gentlemen.

tell me, people, is 10 hours a day an unheard of amount of use for internet service?
that translates to a couple hours during the evening after work, and 8 hours during the night, downloading files. would you call that a horrible amount of hours?
anyone who needs to contact me may email at vuzh@livejournal.com , this will put you through to my work email.
i still don't know if i'll be able to get a refund for my month's service from this bad ISP, and i don't know if emails sent since monday will be forwarded. probably not. if you've sent something recently to the old address: vuzh@peakpeak.com please resend it to the livejournal address.
someone please do me the favor of emailing that address for me to find out if it's still accepting emails. my work address isn't accepted by the peakpeak servers, so i don't know if anything's being stored there still.
