several people today asked me why i was sad or angry or whatever.
since i was neither sad nor angry, i concluded that i must have simply been slightly Oglier today than normal.
vuzh: seven (boom)
excerpted from "Will Islam cause WWIII?" by Dr. Robert Morey.

The Muslim threat to the peace and security of America is as real as was the threat of Nazism and Communism. If God does not intervene, the day will come when a mushroom cloud will appear over a major American city signaling death and destruction unparalleled in U.S. history.
The apostle Paul warned us that if the trumpet is not blown loud and clear, the people will not prepare for war (1 Corinthians 14:8). Ezekiel tells us that we are watchmen who have the responsibility to warn the city of an approaching army of death and destruction. If we fail to warn people of the coming war with Islam, their blood will be on our hands (Ezekiel 33:1-6).
In order to convince people that Islam constitutes a clear and present danger to the peace of the world, we must first demonstrate that Islam has the will and the desire to destroy us and, second, that they now have the means to do so.

unkind

vuzh: seven (abandon)
yes much to the possible delight, (or possible chagrin) of Justin and [livejournal.com profile] anjibee i've finally decided to update some of our songs we did together years and years and years ago.
i loaded the 4-track recording of "unkind" into the recorder this evening.
it will need so much work it's not even funny.
might take months, especially with as little time as i've been devoting to recording.
it will end up as basically a totally new recording with some samples from the original.
new guitars all around (i may keep the solo and the noise bit at the end,)
new percussion and drum machine...
obviously new vocals.
i'm considering re-working the lyrics and possibly adding a bridge of some kind.
i also increased tape speed while recording to the 8-track, because the old version seemed kinda plodding.

Justin and i recorded this song on my battered old Fostex X-15 in Los Angeles way back in, what was it... '91? help me out here anji!
i remember we were finishing it up as we had to leave so that i could catch my plane.
good memories.
i also remember making the two of them leave the room while i did my vocal.
i was never satisfied with the recording, and i promised them i'd redo it someday... (i don't think they minded the recording so much). anyhowz, here it is 10 years later and i'm finally getting to dat shit!
(the recording IS horrible btw).

the song...
eh,
i was really proud of it at the time,
now... i like it, but i've advanced so far in music writing that it seems very simplistic.
i love the sorta southwestern flavah that Justin gave the song, and i hope to expand on that in my reworking of it.
but considering it was never released at all i figure i'd really better document the thing somehow.
